The future of i:Create

We are committed to being transparent with you throughout this transition and will send out notices as well as keep this page up to date as our plans are finalized. The decision to replace i:Create was not taken lightly. However, it has become necessary due to advances in technology, best practices, and user needs as well as market and competitive pressures.

i:Create has been around for nearly 20 years, which is pretty old in the landscape of software and technology. Due to its age, i:Create has become difficult to maintain and keep up-to-date with best practices in development, security, performance, and accessibility.

Since i:Create is not a cloud native platform, it is unable to take advantage of all the performance enhancements and load balancing capabilities available to fully cloud enabled software.

Govstack has been developed with adaptability and scalability in mind, so it can provide the strength and flexibility needed to carry us and our customers forward into the future.

There are many i:Create websites that represent hundreds of public sector organizations who we know will need time to transition to a new website solution.

At this time there is no planned end-of-life date for i:Create, but we are committed to providing you with ample notice and a comprehensive lifecycle plan when that time comes.

During this time, we will continue to support all of our i:Create customers until the end-of-life date. We will continue to provide i:Create support, maintenance, and development services. Our i:Create product team will continue to focus specifically on bugs or incidents that impact the quality or performance of i:Create. i:Create and its modules will no longer receive new features.

We have officially ended i:Create sales for all new customers, while we continue to offer services to existing i:Create websites.

We have a lot of work ahead of us to migrate our i:Create customers into Govstack!

We have not set an End-of-Life date for i:Create yet, but we are committed to providing you with ample notice and a comprehensive lifecycle plan when that time comes. We want to ensure that all our customers will have time to make a smooth transition.

When it comes, the End-of-Life plan for i:Create will include detailed phases, outlining the type of support and maintenance you can expect during each stage.

We will be providing updates on our progress with i:Create and Govstack to our subscribers, so we strongly recommend you subscribe to ensure you’re getting information as soon as it’s available.

We know how busy you are and wanted to make this upgrade as easy as possible for you, so we created an upgrade plan that minimizes the effort needed on your end.

The upgrade includes migration services for your website content and sitemap, as well as Events and Forms data. Most of your time on this delivery will be answering some questions, making some DNS entries for us, and attending training, and reviewing the final website and migrated content before going live. One of our knowledgeable and dedicated Implementation Specialists will walk you through the entire process, and coordinate everything.

Form Builder and Calendar are being carried forward into Govstack as Govstack Forms and Govstack Events, and all of your data will be migrated as part of our upgrade process, including all responses collected to your Forms, and any integrations you have setup between Forms/Events and third-party software.
